Battle of the Books and Knowledge Bowl are programs supported by the PTA.  Battle of the Books typically happens in March. Students in grades 3-4 and 5-6 join teams of five and read the books on their list. They compete against other student teams. Eventually, the winning team competes against a teacher/PTA team.   The top 5/6 team attends the district Battle of the Books program at the district level on a Saturday. 

Knowledge Bowl teams study throughout the year. This year’s focus is the arts. Students will study art themes such as literature, works of art, plays, music, sculpture, etc. Students compete at a district competition in March or April.  Students commit to a once a week after-school practice.
